"And a white foam spread around them from the immortal flesh, and in it there grew a maiden."
— Hesiod, Theogony 190–198

The sea has always made goddesses out of ordinary bodies. Here the water does the work: sunlight breaks across the ripples into a fractured net of silver and shadow, and the figure lies suspended inside it, arms drawn back, weightless. Shot in black and white, the image strips away every distraction color would add — what's left is pure geometry: the curve of a spine against the flat plane of the surface, the current pulling gently at trailing hair, light doing what light does when it hits moving water at the right angle. There is no pool edge in frame, no horizon — just body and water and the accident of brightness that turns an ordinary swim into something closer to myth.
